With Git Flow, various branches can be created automatically and merged again using predefined rules. <\/p>\n<p>Here is how it works (if Git is already installed):<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Install Git Flow<br \/>\n&#8211; Open Git Bash and navigate to the repo<\/p>\n<p>Enable Git Flow for a repo:<br \/>\n<code>git flow init<\/code><\/p>\n<p>To switch from one branch to another, simply use:<br \/>\n<code>git checkout [branch-name]<\/code><\/p>\n<p>Examples:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Start hotfix branch:<br \/>\n<code>git flow hotfix start [hotfix-branch-name]<\/code><\/li>\n<li>Finish hotfix branch:<br \/>\n<code>git flow hotfix finish [hotfix-branch-name]<\/code><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Hotfix branches are automatically merged with the master and staging\/developer branches. The feature branch is merged with the staging\/developer branch.
