RIPE (Réseaux IP Européens Network Coordination Centre) advocates for the establishment of a new contact entry: Abuse-C. With a dedicated entry, it becomes significantly easier to automatically initiate measures against a system compromise. However, as always, it remains the responsibility of the operator or contact person to promptly execute the necessary steps to prevent further damage or to avoid its occurrence altogether.
